Vice President, Marketing Spark & Digital Orthodontics

The VP, Marketing at Spark will be responsible for developing and executing a clearly defined global marketing strategy in a manner that supports consistent business growth and enhances brand equity and awareness.  This position is responsible for leading a global marketing team to achieve the company objectives of rapid growth and profitability through strategic business model transformation, improved brand awareness, transformative marketing, marketing campaigns, digital marketing and business analytics. The VP of Marketing will report into the SVP/President of the Spark and Digital Orthodontic business at Envista and be a member of the Spark Leadership Team.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Co-Lead the creation and implementation of go-to market strategy for solutions including development of business model innovations to accelerate share gains

Manage, coordinate and execute all marketing strategies and implement tactical plans that meet and exceed company expectations

Develop unique value propositions, business partnerships, category management, as well as call to action-oriented advertising targeted toward key customer segments that increase brand awareness

Foster high-level contacts and relationships with key opinion leaders in the dental space as well as with large customers

Maintain and develop compelling brand strategies, including ensuring relevance of brand messaging, company vision as well as materials and events that support awareness and preference of brand and products

Develop and execute a successful digital marketing strategy to include website, digital campaigns, SEO, PPC, etc. to optimize digital presence, MQL and SQL lead conversions

Optimize channel support to include distribution marketing, programs and distributors, and contractor training strategy and media content


Management Responsibilities:

Build and manage a globally-focused marketing team that is set-up to win.  Direct reports will  focused on areas including Brand Management, Transformative Marketing, Regional Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business Analytics and other areas as the company grows.

Develop a high impact, strong and diverse marketing organization that will scale and thrive as the business grows.  Effectively recruit, manage, train, engage and develop a team capable of delivering and exceeding commitments.  Build talent funnel within marketing.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or equivalent.  MBA preferred.
  • 10 years of diverse global business experience
  • 8 years of progressive marketing experience including brand strategy and development 
  • 5 years of sales and/or marketing management experience 
  • 5 years of experience developing and implementing innovative and integrated digital marketing programs

Demonstrates strategic agility; understands business issues and anticipates future trends and consequences; creates competitive and breakthrough strategies and plans.  Makes connections between diverse concepts to generate new ideas.  Knows when, where and how to dig into details and/or stay high level.  Prioritizes quickly to focus on the critical few to drive action. Moves strategy to action.
Strong background in analytics and leveraging data, and experience working with CRM and Marketing Automation tools.
