JOB SUMMARY:


Directly reporting to Infection Prevention Business Unit (BU) General Manager, the Senior Director of Product Management and Marketing will be a key member of BU leadership team. The Senior Director will lead Product Management, Program Management and Commercial Marketing Teams to play a critical role in our aggressive revenue growth plan. S/he will drive results through exceptional leadership skills, consistently championing and supporting a culture of customer-centric, creative, accountable and continuous improvement, with an eye on reaching optimum performance on an individual and team basis.

Internally, s/he will play a critical role as team builder, cultivating followership in Product Management, Marketing, Operations, R&D, Regulatory, Quality and other cross-functional groups in partnership with other BU leaders.  Specifically, s/he will identify opportunities to “raise the bar” for individuals and for the team by instilling his/her in-depth knowledge, experience, innovation, growth vision and strategy as an integral part of the company’s goals for success.


PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute the vision and strategy for the BU, in alignment with business objectives.
  • Quickly adapt to the business needs when being assigned to prioritized programs.
  • Provide overall leadership for over $200 million infection prevention product line in both medical and dental settings worldwide
  • Provide hands-on direction and drive accountability with R&D
  • Oversight of multi-product lifecycle strategy, roadmap, and commercialization including cross-BU initiatives.
  • Development of vertical marketing strategy and channel alignment thereto
  • Closely work with sales leaders to develop and execute effective go-to-marketing strategies and own continuous improvement.  
  • Oversight of outbound marketing strategy including website, digital, lead generation, campaign management, tradeshows, and localization of marketing materials.
  • Participate in Cross-OpCo platform initiatives
  • Create followership globally and cross-functionally to deliver against strategic priorities
  • Supplies candid and constructive feedback to develop teams and those with direct reports.
  • Fosters a welcoming attitude honoring collaboration and respect.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university required. A Masters or Doctorate degree highly desired. Public Health, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Microbiology or related area preferred. 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 15 years’ experience in Product Management Marketing within medical device industry, ideally infection prevention.
  • 10+ years people management experience.  Possess extensive experience in leading strategic and tactical product management and marketing activities at a global level.
  • Knowledge of operations with a focus on lean/continuous improvement.
  • Successful experience in developing and improving long term brand equity.
  • Successful experience in using data-driven analytics in Sales and Marketing to develop strategy and share gain.
  • Expertise in managing a team to develop the following strategic pillars: new product launch, clinical research, Key Opinion Leader (KOL) development and management, and sales and marketing clinical support upstream and downstream.
  • Familiar with alternative go-to-market strategies from traditional business.
  • Proven results in collaboration with GPOs, IDNs, and distribution that can be carried over into upstream and downstream marketing.
  • Familiarity with infection prevention in healthcare, research, and industrial market global trends and technology and marketing strategies; prior relevant experience gained in these industries highly desirable. 
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically, strong communication skills and unwavering focus on the customer.
  • Data-driven, process-oriented thinker; exercises sound judgment in analyzing problems from multiple perspectives.

  • Strong people leader and team builder with a track record of identifying and developing talent
  • Customer-focused and uses Voice of Customer to understand customer/market needs:
    • Strong commercialization skills.
    • Sound go-to-market abilities.
    • Successful launch of new products with proven results.
    • Sales force engagement and motivation.
    • Technically proficient and able to work closely and get buy-in from R&D, operations and sales team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence other teams, create clarity and drive focus on complex problems.
