The Human Resources Business Partner will have a variety of responsibilities to support the HR team members and the organization for the rapid growth of the Spark and Digital Orthodontic business unit of Ormco.  You will partner with the management team on key decisions and perform generalist activities to include; on-boarding, talent management, talent development, performance management and employee relations.  You will be responsible for driving our Envista Core Values and adapting with the accelerating company growth.  This role it will report directly into the Global Head of Human Resources for the Spark and Digital Orthodontics group. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partners with manufacturing leaders and staff at a busy and growing manufacturing and distribution facility.
  • Develop and maintains effective employee relationships.
  • Lead new hire on-boarding processes and ensure timely enrollment in benefit programs and completion of new hire paperwork.
  • Administers and interprets company policies to workforce.
  • Administers FMLA, headcount, exit process, and coordinates/reports employee status transactions.
  • Maintain and update employee records as well as generation reports by period and compile metrics reports.
  • Coordinate training needs assessment and partner with other HR team members on the site with training delivery.
  • Partner on recruitment process including developing and updating job descriptions, posting positions, and working closely with hiring managers to facilitate screening, interviewing and calibration processes.
  • Advise and coach management in appropriate resolution of employee performance and employee relations issues.
  • Administer employee changes (i.e., promotions, transfers, salary increases, terminations) in Workday (HRIS).
  • Lead employee focused events and functions while keeping a pulse on culture and employee satisfaction.
  • Assist in the administration of open enrollment.
  • Assist in investigations of CBA violations or employee conduct/absenteeism.
  • Manage employee complaints and ensure accurate and timely documentation of concerns or issues.
  • Drive talent development efforts with employees.
  • Generate departmental reports for informational tracking.
  • Keep training records as required by Company policy, agencies, ISO or other requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resource functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • You will support a 24/7 operation; your primary work schedule will be done the1st shift but you will occasionally work on 2nd and 3rd shift as required. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Communicates Effectively: Must have strong written and presentation skills; be able to effectively adapt messages to the audience.  Ensure that your message is received as it is intended.
  • Manage Diverse Relationships:  Must have the ability to relate to a wide variety of diverse styles and is open to differences.  Will display and operate in a way that will never compromises ethics and integrity and will be proactive in all dealings with agendas that are above board and understood by all.


  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in HR, Business Management, or related fields.
  • 5 years’ experience working in HR; 2-3 in a manufacturing/plant setting.
  • Proven, strong employee collaboration and partnership experience required.
  • Working knowledge of recruiting, data capturing, compensation, benefits, and training.
  • Analytical skills using Excel.
  • Strong effective communication skills oral/written.
  • Ability to speak Spanish.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Work experience in a Lean or continuous improvement manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Experience with the Workday HRIS system.
  • Prior work experience in a  “start-up” or rapidly growing company desired.
  • Prior working experience in healthcare (FDA) regulated industry, and/or supporting R&D and Sales and Marketing functions.
