Job description

  

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on STAR CNC Swiss Type Lathes, Haas Machines, vapor degreasers, and other production equipment.
  • Sump pump oil and change filters on all machines
  • Replace belts on all 28 CNC Lathe machines
  • Ensure stock levels are always sufficient
  • Maintain and track all maintenance inventory items
  • Maintain maintenance records, preventive maintenance schedules, work orders, and equipment documentation
  • Address and complete any independent open work orders for repairs within Maintenance and facilities

Facilities Support

  • Maintain and repair building infrastructure, including lighting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and facility grounds.
  • Support facility renovations, capital projects, and general site upkeep.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Support equipment installation, relocation, upgrades, and decommissioning.
  • Operate and maintain critical facility utilities, including HVAC, compressed air, vacuum, process water and electrical distribution.
  • Ensure uninterrupted utility support for manufacturing operations and controlled environments.
  • Maintain cleanroom infrastructure, HEPA filtration systems, and environmental controls.
  • Monitor contamination-control systems and ensure compliance with GMP and ISO requirements.
  • Inspect and maintain safety systems, including emergency eyewash stations, safety showers, fire protection equipment, and alarms.
  • Support Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) programs, hazard mitigation, emergency preparedness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with hazardous waste management, spill prevention, and environmental control systems.
  • Support regulatory inspections, audits, and environmental compliance programs.
  • Assist the Facilities Manager with tasks as needed

Job requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in maintenance within a machine production environment required. Minimun of 3 years’ experience in facilities work and repairs
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Basic MS Word and Excel required

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents, such as operating procedures and general instructions, machine manuals, employee handbook, company policies and departmental procedures, etc.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting machinery alarms
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational skills for inventory management
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and management
  • Proactive and safety-conscious approach in all tasks
