About the role
The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for driving sales growth, market share, and customer satisfaction within an assigned territory. This role focuses on managing and expanding relationships with key dental accounts and authorized dealer partners, ensuring long-term retention, profitability, and strategic business growth. The KAM acts as the primary point of contact for key customers, providing tailored solutions and fostering strong partnerships across the dental market.
What You’ll Do
Sales and Business Development
Develop and implement sales plans to meet or exceed assigned revenue and growth targets.
Identify and acquire new customers and convert competitor accounts to drive portfolio expansion.
Lead new business development initiatives and customer acquisition across assigned markets.
Manage sales activities within allocated expense budget and ensure effective use of CRM for opportunity management.
Account Management
Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with key dental customers and dealer partners.
Conduct regular customer business reviews and develop tailored strategies for account growth and retention.
Understand customer needs, infrastructure, and decision-making processes to identify strategic growth opportunities.
Collaborate with Territory Managers and Business Managers to deliver premium service to high-value customers.
Market and Product Expertise
Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of company products, technologies, and competitive offerings.
Provide product demonstrations and training to customers, staff, and stakeholders.
Stay informed of industry trends and market dynamics to support sales and marketing efforts.
Collaboration and Events
Build advocacy and alignment with dealer partners to drive sales and market share.
Participate in trade shows, customer events, and internal meetings to promote products and strengthen relationships.
Lead or support local marketing initiatives to protect existing business and enhance brand visibility.
Job requirements
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field; or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3 years of successful B2B sales experience (dental or medical device industry preferred).
Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Residence within the assigned territory.
Willingness to travel up to 40%, including evenings and weekends as required.
