Job description

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build and enhance cloud-connected software and web experiences that extend our imaging solutions with AI-driven capabilities.

In this role, you will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and design through implementation, integration, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement. You will work independently on complex technical challenges while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who brings strong software development experience, enjoys solving complex problems, and can serve as a technical resource to other engineers while continuing to deepen their own expertise.

What You Will Do

  • Design and develop production software across cloud services, web applications, and desktop integration components within established system architecture.
  • Translate product and technical requirements into effective software solutions, applying engineering best practices to solve complex problems.
  • Collaborate across engineering and cross-functional teams to evaluate requirements, define technical approaches, and align integration points.
  • Integrate AI and machine-learning capabilities into production applications using cloud-hosted services and inference APIs.
  • Deliver maintainable, testable, and reliable software, including code, technical documentation, test plans, and test results.
  • Participate in design and code reviews, providing thoughtful technical feedback and helping strengthen engineering practices across the team.
  • Estimate development work and communicate progress, dependencies, and technical considerations throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Support software quality, safety, reliability, serviceability, and applicable regulatory requirements as part of product development.
  • Serve as a technical resource to colleagues, sharing knowledge and supporting less-experienced engineers as appropriate.
  • Contribute to small projects and Agile initiatives while staying current with relevant technologies, development practices, and tools.

What You Will Bring

You bring hands-on software engineering experience and are comfortable working across multiple layers of a modern application. You can independently work through complex technical problems, collaborate effectively with partners, and balance sound engineering practices with practical product requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Approximately 5+ years of software development experience, or equivalent demonstrated capability
  • Strong experience with C#/.NET, including development of web APIs and backend services
  • Experience building modern web applications using React or a comparable front-end framework
  • Experience developing or integrating cloud-hosted applications and services
  • Working knowledge of RESTful APIs, HTTP, software design patterns, and modern software engineering practices
  • Experience participating in the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, code review, and deployment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in one or more of the following areas would be valuable, but candidates do not need to bring every item:

  • Microsoft Azure, including App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, or Key Vault
  • ASP.NET Core Web APIs and Entity Framework Core
  • React ecosystem technologies such as React Router, Redux Toolkit, React Query, or Material UI
  • Production integration of AI/ML services, Azure AI services, or cloud-hosted inference APIs
  • Integration of cloud services with native desktop applications
  • CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code technologies such as Terraform and YAML
  • Complex systems, distributed architectures, or microservices
  • Computer graphics, imaging, or video-processing technologies, including OpenGL
  • Medical or dental imaging systems
