Job description
The Human Resources Generalist, Commercial partners closely with the North America Commercial organization to support business success through hands‑on HR support, employee relations expertise, and strong partnership with leaders. This role serves as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, delivering practical and compliant HR solutions across the employee lifecycle while supporting talent, performance, and engagement initiatives aligned to business priorities. This position requires a proactive, detail‑oriented HR professional who is comfortable operating independently, navigating employee relations matters, and collaborating across HR Centers of Excellence and Shared Services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as a primary HR point of contact for Commercial leaders and employees, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and employee lifecycle matters.
Partner with managers to ensure consistent, fair, and timely performance management, including coaching, documentation, and corrective action.
Lead and support employee relations matters, including issue resolution, investigations, and appropriate escalation, ensuring compliant and well‑documented outcomes.
Support talent management processes, including talent reviews, succession planning discussions, and identification and retention of high performers.
Partner with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition to support recruiting efforts for Commercial roles, including resume review, interview coordination, and hiring process guidance.
Use workforce data and trends (e.g., turnover, engagement, staffing needs) to identify risks and opportunities and provide actionable insights to leaders.
Facilitate and deliver HR training sessions, including New Hire Orientation, policy education, and HR updates for team meetings or town halls.
Partner with HR Shared Services and leave management vendors to support leaves of absence and ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, and applicable state laws.
Support employee engagement initiatives, including survey administration, feedback sessions, and follow‑up action planning.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales Operations, Finance, and HR COEs to ensure HR practices support commercial business strategy.
Stay current on federal, state, and local employment laws and ensure compliant HR practices.
Support HR projects and initiatives as needed, including change management and continuous improvement efforts.
