Ormco Director of Clinical Education (Remote-Brea, CA)

Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of Clinical Education will drive the development and execution of clinical and professional education programs across North America, supporting the strategic goals of our orthodontic business. This role focuses on creating impactful training experiences for orthodontists and clinical teams, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Build and maintain strong partnerships with orthodontic key opinion leaders (KOLs), clinicians, customers, speakers, and the sales force to ensure the success of educational initiatives and enhance commercial outcomes through clinical excellence.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Aligns to clinical education global strategy and ensure implementation at regional level.
  • Manage primary functions for training and education programs.
  • Develop course scheduling strategies and supervise ongoing calendar of events.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with speaking clinicians and key customers.
  • Supports development of local engagements strategies with KOLs and key customers.
  • Establish and manage KPIs for training and education events. Maintains speaker database, reviews and provides feedback on course evaluations.
  • Recommend speakers to key customers, associations, and dental association meetings based on company goals.
  • Identify and manage collaborations with learning centers and potential educational venues in order to assure the successful operation of each course or event.
  • Oversee the procedures and protocol of the surgical suite.
  • Manages a team of Education Managers and Coordinators. Carries out managerial responsibilities including: training; planning; assigning and directing work; setting performance goals/development objectives; appraising performance; rewarding; motivating; providing coaching/feedback; engaging and disciplining employees; provides recommendation to discharge direct reports
  • Champions continuous improvement to drive team efficiencies

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience managing and overseeing doctors' speaking/training and events required.

  • 10+ years in related field or satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform critical success factors as noted below.

  • 5-8 years’ experience in a dental clinical customer facing role.

  • 5-8 years of excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to lead, coach, develop and inspire others while ensuring that the goals and objectives of the business are met.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite programs (i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends is a fundamental requirement.

  • Ability to travel 50% including work evenings and weekends.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • DDS with clinical experience and knowledge of dental protocols in addition to Orthodontics products preferred.

  • Possess strong interpersonal, writing and organizational skills.

  • Experience managing high-profile relationships.

  • Negotiation skills.

  • Ability to manage time and workload.

  • Ability to problem solve and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Target Market Salary Range:

Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
