MFG Production Supervisor

Job Description:

Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Production Supervisor to lead and manage a high-performing team in our medical-dental manufacturing facility reporting to the manufacturing Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production supervision, quality assurance, and lean manufacturing principles. This role is critical in ensuring that production goals are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Supervise daily production operations, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.

· Lead and develop a motivated production team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

· Monitor production flow, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to maintain efficiency.

· Ensure accurate and timely completion of hourly scorecards and production documentation.

· Conduct regular audits of quality systems, logs, and controls in alignment with Layered Standard Work (LSW).

· Promote cross-training and skill development to enhance team flexibility and reduce absenteeism.

· Recognize and reward team achievements while addressing performance issues through appropriate disciplinary measures.

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives through KAIZEN events and active participation in EBS (Envista Business System).

· Analyze KPI trends, lead root cause analysis (PSP), and develop action plans to meet or exceed targets.

· Maintain effective communication across departments to ensure alignment and operational success.

· Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards, as well as applicable safety and environmental regulations.

· Oversee proper use of safety equipment, identify workplace hazards, and implement preventive measures.

· Support digital systems and technology use to enhance operational efficiency and data accuracy.

· Foster employee engagement by maintaining regular one-on-one meetings, providing quarterly feedback, and creating an inclusive and motivating work environment.

· Ensure seamless communication between shifts by properly receiving updates from the previous shift supervisor and delivering a clear and timely handover to the next shift.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

· 2–3 years of experience as a Production Supervisor in a manufacturing environment, preferably in medical or dental devices.

· Ability to read/write and speak English.

· Strong knowledge of production processes, machinery, materials, and quality control systems.

· Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, EBS, KAIZEN, Gemba Walks, and Standard Work.

· Understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards is highly desirable.

· Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

· Ability to analyze complex situations, identify root causes, and make data-driven decisions under pressure.

· High attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office and production management software.
