Shipping Information Specialist

Job Description:

• Generate bills of lading and other documentation required for all domestic and international shipments.
• Records daily information on UPS, Freight and Truck loads/container shipments for monthly report.
• Schedules truck lines for pickups.
• Handles data sheets for all truck and container loads of investment.
• Handle inquiries, tracers and requests for information from company personnel and outside contacts regarding receiving and shipping.
• Handles inquiries and claims for shortages and missing shipments of UPS, Roadway package, and freight shipments.
• Types Government contracts & labels for all government shipments and distribution of the DD250's.
• Records requests for company deliveries and pickups.
• Recognizes errors in original entry and corrects data prior to processing the update.
• Recognizes deficiencies in source documents and returns to supervisor for corrective action
• Provide superior administrative support to distribution management personnel.
• Back up for Receiving Information Specialist.
• Responsible for investigation and resolution of shipping complaints.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma
• Two to three years experience working in clerical support.
• Ability to utilize compute in standard business applications including word processing, spreadsheet and data base applications. 
• Ability to operate and utilize telephone and other standard office equipment.
