Site HR Business Partner

Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic HR Business Partner to lead and develop the Human Resources function at our Software Development site in Mechelen, supporting approximately 120 associates.

This role will serve as a key partner to site leadership and stakeholders, driving HR initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness and employee experience.

This role reports to Europe HR Director and requires office presence 4 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with people leaders and key stakeholders to implement impactful HR strategies that support business success.

  • Lead innovation and continuous improvement projects aimed at elevating quality standards and optimizing effectiveness across the entire associate lifecycle—from recruitment to offboarding.

  • Represent the organization in labor and contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with local employment laws and fostering constructive employee relations.

  • Provide coaching and counseling to managers and associates, supporting performance management, development, and engagement.

  • Drive training programs, talent development initiatives, and employee engagement activities aligned with business needs.

  • Apply broad HR expertise across all functional areas, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, and compliance.

  • Coordinate payroll operations through oversight of one payroll consultant.

  • Actively contribute to the European HR team, supporting cross-country initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in HR Business Partner roles, ideally within a multinational, matrixed organization.

  • Strong knowledge of local labor law and core HR fundamentals.

  • Proven experience and mindset as a strategic HR Business Partner.

  • Profficient in Dutch and English.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead change and influence others.

  • High emotional intelligence and empathy to support a thriving HR function on site.
