Sr. Manager, Retirement & Benefits
Job Description:
Reporting to the Director of Global Benefits, looking for an HR/Benefits professional responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive benefits programs that ensure compliance, meet employee needs, and align with company and department strategies
Responsibilities
- Program Management: Lead the administration and management of benefit programs including Health & Welfare, Risk Insurance, Leaves of Absence and Retirement and Savings Plans (401(k), pension plans, and other savings programs).
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of retirement and savings and other benefit programs. In addition, lead the annual U.S. benefits open enrollment process to include systems administration, communication and training including open enrollment meetings, vendor management
- Compliance: Ensure all programs comply with federal and state regulations, including ERISA, IRS guidelines, and other relevant laws.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Employee Education: Design and deliver educational programs and communications to help employees understand and maximize their retirement and savings options.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on program performance, participation rates, and financial metrics to senior leadership.
- Budget Management: Oversee the budget for retirement and savings programs, ensuring cost-effective management and allocation of resources.
- Team Support: Assist in leading and mentoring a small team of benefit professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Providing strategic and operational support in the design, development, implementation, administration, and communication of employee benefit programs.
- Data Analytics: Monitoring benefits utilization, costs, and employee satisfaction to make data-driven improvements.
- Leaves of Absence: Partnering with HR, help to oversee the administration of leaves of absence, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and company policies. Provide guidance and support to employees during their leave and facilitate their return to work.

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field of study, or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of benefits experience, including health & welfare, risk, retirement, and leave of absence policies with program modeling, design, and implementation
- This position is 'hybrid' so candidate must reside within a commutable distance to our corporate office in Brea, CA.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in automation and AI capabilities, including an understanding or experience in the development/implementation of this technology, to enhance administrative efficiency and improve the overall employee experience.
- Initiative-taking delivery of communication and follow-up, and highly effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate, develop partnerships and instill trust of vendors, managers, and employees.
- Skilled in managing multiple stakeholders, balancing strategic objectives while addressing competing needs effectively.
- Adept at fostering cross-functional partnerships, ensuring alignment between benefits strategy and broader business goals.
- Ability to develop clear, structured processes that improve efficiency and employee understanding related to benefits, absence, and time off, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance.
- Proficiency in Workday Benefits administration with the ability to optimize workflows and resolve process-related issues.

Target Market Salary Range:
Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
